Texel ewes have excellent maternal instincts. After their first lambing, they average twin lambs. Texels are hardy sheep and can lamb on pasture.
The Texels have a gentle nature and are easy to manage. This is especially important at sharing, worming, hoof maintenance or moving the flock.
