GREEN SHAVINGS DEBUT
A First-Time Appearance to Remember.
Two ram lambs, one tough class, and a very respectable first trip to Louisville.
FROM THE FARM
5th & 7th in a Class of 25.
Now that the grandkids are done showing sheep, it is now up to ME to get the flock out there and expose the toils of my work! Where else better than to go hit the green shavings at the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Kentucky?
I took a couple of ram lambs that I had held back for just this purpose and, in a tough class of 25 head, we placed 5th and 7th — not too shabby for a first-time appearance.
For a debut at one of the biggest livestock stages around, it was a proud result and another chance to put 419 Texels genetics in front of breeders and judges.
